Tucked deep in the hills of Uttarakhand, Barkat is more than a home — it is a quiet unfolding of life amidst silence, light, and nature. This film captures not just the architecture, but the lived atmosphere of the space: a gentle rhythm shaped by seasons, sunrises, birdsong, and breath. Filmed over several days, the process was immersive — waking before dawn to chase soft light filtering through wooden rafters, trailing a cyclist through forest paths, and pausing often… just to listen. Barkat is a home full of warmth and memory — with spaces that hold both solitude and conversation equally well. In this film, I chose not to tell a story — but to sense it. To let the house, the forest, and the light speak on their own terms.
